About me
Being in love with the arts her whole life led Alana Insko-Kelley to a career in Marketing, Graphics and Special Events for the past 31 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with graphics emphasis and a Minor in Photography from Eastern Kentucky University along with countless professional development certifications. Currently, she is the Community Program Manager for the Department of Environmental Services in the City of Lexington, Kentucky. Where she has spent 17 of those years as a public servant passionately serving our community through outreach activities. During her career she has chaired numerous committees, organized large city sponsored events, served on boards and commissions for the mayor’s office, nonprofits and helped create national campaigns for YUSA. An alumnus of Hong-Kong International School in Hong-Kong, China, Mrs. Insko-Kelley believes the firm foundation and cultural awareness her high school provided fostered her passion for inclusion of all and social justice.Alana is dedicated to increasing diversity and representation in everything she does and firmly believes that the community deserves to see themselves in their life experiences while being offered every opportunity of interest. Mrs. Insko-Kelley is in her 19th year serving as a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Rebekah’s Fraternal Organizations where she is the first female to hold not one but two State Officer Positions in over 205 years of the State Grand Lodge of Kentucky Order. She has been an advocate for crime victims’ rights, lobbying, speaking at the Kentucky State Capital and campaigning to amend the Kentucky State Constitution to include rights for victims of violent crimes, which was accomplished by the passing of Marsy’s Law in 2020. She holds the rank of Honorable Kentucky Colonel for her continued volunteer and philanthropy efforts for many local organizations. Alana Insko-Kelley has been married to Richard Kelley of Bardstown, Ky., for twenty years, and has two bonus sons and 6 grandchildren. She is dedicated to the continued improvement of our services and quality of life for allin the community.
