Dr. Carolyn Waters has twenty years of experience in environmental education practice and research across the U.S. Southeast, Midwest, and Pacific Northwest. As Principal Consultant for Open Waters Consulting, she provides strategic services to organizations that connect people with nature, including support for impact measurement, strategic planning, and capacity building. Her participatory approach engages and empowers stakeholders at all levels. Her passion is to foster critical thinking, collaboration, and action for social and ecological justice. Based in Louisville, Kentucky, she lives on an urban homestead with her partner, dog, cat, and a handful of chickens.
