About me
Dr. Kerri Adkins currently serves as the Chair of the Undergraduate Program and as an Assistant Professor at Campbellsville University. Prior to these roles, she taught biology, chemistry, AP biology, AP chemistry, AP environmental science, forensic science, and physical science for 18 years in both public and private schools. Kerri graduated from Western Kentucky University, B.S.- Biology and Chemistry with a minor in Biophysics (2001); Georgetown College, M.A.- Education (2005); Western Kentucky University, Ed.D.- Educational Leadership (2019).Kerri’s research area is in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math). She wrote her dissertation in 2019 on the reasons that academically capable females choose not to pursue degrees in STEM to address the shortage of female representation in these particular areas. She also works to provide rich outdoor learning opportunities to K-12 students and adults.Kerri lives in Somerset with her husband. They pass the time outdoors enjoying hiking, kayaking, and visiting new places.
